Irridium77 has brought a smile to many @utgame fans by bringing the classic DM-1on1-Pure-Pro layout to UT4. Version 006 is currently installed on the UC Hub and ready for action.
While technically designed for Duel, it’s also quite fun for FFA Deathmatch. Here’s a sample of some game play in Pure on the Unreal Carnage Hub.
KazeoHin has been a busy guy lately and unfortunately hasn’t had much time to work on the low poly model for his Bio Rifle design. He was however gracious enough to post a quick update of his current work in the forums. Hopefully we’ll get to see this in the game before the end of the year. No pressure Kazeo :p.
At long last, chonglee has released an update to his awesome DM-Deck remake. This is a proper re-envisioning of the map for UT4, not a port by any means. Hopefully this will be built into the game when it reaches final!
The rebuilding of community maps continues after the last update broke them all as expected. Several great maps have already been rebuilt and have been added to the UC Hub. Here’s the current list of custom deathmatch maps on the Hub:
The long awaited update to Unreal Tournament is available today. As expected, the move to Unreal Engine 4.14 has broken all of the community maps. This begins the painful grind to build up custom content once again on the Unreal Carnage Hub.
Here’s the announcement from Epic:

Chong has released an update to DM-Morpheus for @utgame that includes a massive visual overhaul. He managed to nicely incorporate several ideas from forum members such as Kazeohin. With a bit more gameplay polish, this will be a great addition the UC hub lineup!
Follow the development thread HERE.
One of the best mappers on the UT4 scene, chonglee, hadn’t been heard from in a year which caused many UT forum goers to fear that his brilliant DM-Deck remake would never see the light again.
The good news is that chonglee has reappeared in the forum and posted in the DM-Deck thread. Looked forward to seeing this back in the game again!
The release notes are available for the upcoming UT release, tentatively scheduled for October 10th. This is a major release that will bump the Unreal Engine version from 4.12 to 4.14. The new release will undoubtedly wreak havoc on custom maps which more than likely will have to be recooked. So, we will most likely be starting over with the custom maps on the UC Hub. #Pre-alpha folks!
The most controversial change in this build is the removal of the impact hammer in free-for-all Deathmatch and also in Flag Run. This is going to be extremely difficult for long time UT fans to handle, primarily due to the loss of movement options that the hammer brings to the game. The second big change will be the removal of the grenade function from the Rocket Launcher to coincide with the addition of a dedicated grenade launcher.
The new grenade launcher will be an extension of what was the Bio Launcher. I’m pretty sure Epic is ready for a Hurricane Matthew-sized ***t storm after this release. I for one am going to be holding a stop watch in my first match timing the first “WTF, what happened to the…”?
Hang in there UT fans! Trust that Epic will get us “there” in the end a couple of years from now :-).

MoxNix is substantially reworking his DM-Codex remake for @utgame with improved scaling, visuals, and ambient sounds. Looking forward to putting this one up on the UC Hub when it’s complete!
