Well, Wizd3m tells it like it is which is the way a review site should be!  Check out his review of DM-CBP3-Maidenlike HERE.

  1. As always, thank you 🙂 I was a little surprised actually about the performance as iIread on the Epic forums that people were pretty happy with it. How did you find it on your pc?

  2. Hey Wizd3m. The performance I experienced was generally pretty high for a level like that which surprised me a bit. I use vsync since I can’t stand tearing so it’s locked at 60fps. In this level I saw a few dips in the 40’s but generally it was 60fps. I did notice the same glitches and texture issues you did actually but since he put it in the finals, I was going for overall ambience which I thought was amazing. The cool part of having a review site like yours is that you can let loose and go into detail on the level and you do an excellent job on that. I know the community is small but keep up the good work! Thanks for the link on your site by the way. FYI, I’ve changed my site name and URL a tiny bit ;). By the way, I turned off pingback on my site so it won’t spam your site if I link to it.

  3. Hey man 🙂 Hmm, I guess it’s just me being too sensitive to the frame rate drops. I agree though, the ambiance is intoxicating. And thanks again for the kind words! It’s my pleasure to have a link to your site on mine, I hope it helps. Also, I’m itching for more free time so I can get to the community content outside the bonus packs, like the MCC maps.

  4. I’m pretty sensitive to fps myself but I find 60fps locked to vsync much better than 150fps unlocked. Go easy on the MCC maps LOL! It’s just a fun diversion for me – won’t be goin’ pro any time soon 😉

  5. I’m so used to playing without vsync because of its frame limit. Again though, I think maybe my monitor is to blame, having to keep a solid 120 frames for smooth performance. Anyway, don’t even worry about the reviews :P, it’s much more about letting people know they exist than bashing someone’s hard work. Even if I dislike a map, there’s no denying that a number of someone’s hours went into its creation, and at the end of the day, I’m glad they exist 😀
